Mika Overview – Genshin Impact Guide

“Mika” is an Cryo-element support character who can enhance the team’s combat ability and has healing abilities.

His elemental skill can increase the attack speed of nearby characters on the field, and his passive talent can produce a strengthening effect based on the number of enemies hit by the elemental skill, giving physical damage bonus to characters on the field.

His elemental burst can restore the health of all nearby characters, and when a character’s normal attack hits an enemy, Mika will restore their health once.

Talent Priority – Genshin Impact Mika Guide

Elemental Burst ≥ Elemental Skill > Normal Attack/Charged Attack

Mika’s main mechanism is to provide attack speed after casting his elemental skill and healing effect after casting his elemental burst. Therefore, when upgrading skills, priority should be given to upgrading elemental burst and elemental skill, and normal attacks can be ignored.

Normal Attack

Mika Normal Attack

  • Use a crossbow and spear for continuous shooting, with 5 attacks causing 6 damage in total. The fourth attack causes 2 damage twCryo, and the remaining attacks cause 1 damage each.
  • Mika’s main skill mechanism is in his elemental skill and elemental burst. Normal attacks are not key skills and can be left un-upgraded.

Elemental Skill (E)

Mika Elemental Skill

  • Pressing or holding down the elemental skill will apply 1 Gauge Unit of Cryo (9.5 seconds of Cryo Aura), and 1 Cryo Gauge Unit can be applied each time.
  • After hitting an enemy with his elemental skill, 4 Cryo element particles will be produced.
  • The initial effect of Soulwind state of his elemental skill only has an attack speed increase effect, and additional physical damage bonus needs to be unlocked by passive talent.
  • The attack speed increase effect in Soulwind state is only related to the level of his elemental skill, with a maximum of 25% attack speed increase (level 13).
  • For many normal attack characters who hit multiple times with their normal attacks, different characters receive different attack speed increase effects. For example, Kamisato Ayato has 3 more normal attacks while Wanderer has 3 more normal attacks.

Elemental Burst (Q)

Mika Elemental burst

  • After casting his elemental burst, it does not cause damage or produce elemental Aura.
  • After casting this skill, it can quickly raise the health of characters in the team, achieving the effect of “instantly raising” their health. When a character’s normal attack hits an enemy, Mika will restore their health once (initially restoring health once every 2.5 seconds at most).
  • This skill is mostly used to improve the team’s fault tolerance. The skill itself does not cause damage. Upgrading the skill level is used to increase the amount of healing.

Passive Talent

Mika passive talent

Passive Talent 1: Hitting an enemy with his elemental skill by pressing or holding down will give additional physical damage bonus to the Detector effect, which applies to the damage bonus interval and has an initial layer of 3 layers.

Passive Talent 2: This talent can increase the upper limit of the Detector effect layer by 1 layer, but it needs to be triggered while under the corresponding effects of his elemental burst and elemental skill. At this time, Mika’s elemental burst cycle becomes critical, but this does not mean that Mika needs to cast his elemental burst every cycle. The increase in physical damage bonus of only 10% for 1 layer is relatively small (not mandatory).

Passive Talent 3: This talent has the same effect as Klee’s passive talent 3 and is very convenient for collecting special products in the open world.

Weapons – Genshin Impact Mika Guide

Weapon selection explanation

Mika’s main skill mechanism is in his elemental skill and elemental burst. By improving his Energy Recharge or increasing his HP to improve the healing effect of his elemental burst, his skill cycle can be optimized.

  • The Favonius Lance and Kitain Cross Spear are both recommended for high refinement levels. Their weapon passives optimize Mika’s ultimate cycle as their refinement level increases.
  • In addition to weapons that optimize cycles, when the energy recharge efficiency provided by artifacts is sufficient, weapons that increase Mika’s HP value can also be considered, such as Black Tassel and Staff of Homa (passive effect).
  • In addition to these weapons, other weapons with Energy Recharge properties can also be considered, such as Prototype Starglitter (forging), Catch (can be farmed), and Engulfing Lightning (etc).

Artifact selection and attribute explanation – Genshin Impact Mika Guide

  • The 4-piece set of the Noblesse Obige is mostly used to assist other characters in the team who have “attack power” as their basic attribute. Only one character in the team needs to use it.
  • The Maiden Beloved, Ocean-Hued Clam, etc. can increase Mika’s healing effect of his elemental burst. The 2-piece set of Emblem of Severed Fate can increase his Energy Recharge and optimize his ultimate activation.
  • When choosing Favonius Lance, it is recommended to stack a little Critical Rate (about 50%) to increase the trigger rate of its passive effect.
  • In the early stage of transition, you can consider choosing The Exile and Scholar 2-piece set to match.

Mika ’s Constellation Effects Guide in Genshin Impact

Mika ‘s Constellation – Genshin Impact Guide

Mika Constellation

Explanation of Constellation Effects – Genshin Impact Mika Guide

  • After unlocking the first constellation, the proportion of elemental skill attack speed increase can affect the interval recovery time of health in his elemental burst. As the level of his elemental skill increases, the time interval for health recovery shortens.
  • After unlocking the second constellation, it is easier to stack detector effects and obtain higher detector effect layers when facing a small number or single enemy.
  • The third and fifth constellations respectively increase the level of his elemental skill and elemental burst.
  • After unlocking the fourth constellation, it will optimize Mika’s own elemental burst cycle and restore up to 15 energy points, which is equivalent to reducing the activation requirement from 70 energy points to 55 energy points for subsequent casting of his elemental burst.
  • After unlocking the sixth constellation, it can increase the detection effect layer by 1 layer in Soulwind state, increasing it to a maximum of 5 layers of detector effect, and increase additional physical damage critical damage for characters in Soulwind state. This critical damage does not appear in the character panel (similar to the sixth constellation effect of characters such as Gorou, Kujou Sara, and Faruzan).

Overall, Mika’s constellations are mostly functional for optimizing his own skills. For a 4-star character like him, higher constellations are naturally better. Among them, unlocking his fourth constellation can reduce the pressure on stacking Energy Rechage efficiency. Unlocking his sixth constellation can further increase physical damage for characters in his team.

Mika ’s Best Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Physical damage team/Eula three Cryo team

Eula + Rosaria + Mika + Off-Hand Electro

Mika’s elemental skill has a long cooldown time. For Eula who needs energy to cast elemental burst, other characters with energy recovery skills are still needed when matching with Mika. Therefore, when matching with Mika, it is still recommended to match with Rosaria, Diona and other characters with more Cryo element particles output to optimize Eula’s energy cycle.

The fourth person recommends giving priority to Electro element characters, such as Raiden Shogun, Fischl, and Yae Miko, etc., to cooperate with Cryo element characters to trigger Superconduct reactions and reduce enemy physical resistance.

Recommended output technique

Electro element characters use skills to apply Electro Aura, Rosaria EQ, Mika QE, Eula Q then output after.

[Note] After Eula’s output is completed, it is necessary to repeatedly switch Rosaria and other characters to produce elemental Orbs then switch back to Eula to eat Orbs and recover energy.

Eula Build

Prioritize the critical rate to reach 75% or more to increase the probability of the ultimate move’s critical rate.

0 Constellation can choose the “2+2” artifacts sets and prioritize physical damage for The Cup.

Rosaria Build

Rosaria mainly plays the role of critical turning and ball charging in this team, supplementing team damage after casting big moves.

Prioritize stacking critical strike rate, followed by considering energy efficiency, and finally critical strike damage and percentage attack power.

Considerations for other physical damage characters

Matching with Razor: Mika itself is an Cryo-element character. After giving the enemy an Cryo element and cooperating with Razor to produce a Superconduct reaction, it can improve Razor’s damage when outputting with normal attacks. Both attack speed increase and physical damage increase can improve Leize’s damage.

The main feature of Mika’s auxiliary physical character recommends outputting with attacks such as normal attacks, so as to use the attack speed increase in Mika’s elemental skill. However, the cooldown time of Mika’s elemental skill is relatively long, and the Elemental Orbs/Particles production efficiency is generally average. For some characters that need energy startup, they also need other energy Recharge ways. (Perhaps there will be new physical characters in future versions that mainly rely on normal attacks or elemental skills to start up and do not require high energy demands? )

Kamisato Ayato Hyperbloom Team Comps

Kamisato Ayato + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu + Mika

The fourth person selected for the Kamisato Ayato Hyperbloom Team is relatively flexible. When Mika joins the team, it can increase Kamisato Ayato’s normal attack output and provide healing effects, so that Jiuki Ren can stack more elemental mastery.

Recommended output technique

Kamisato Ayato Build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide Kamisato Ayato Build

  • Recommended critical strike rate is above 75%, and effective attributes are critical strike rate, critical strike damage, and percentage attack power.
  • Priority upgrade element skill, followed by elemental burst. The level of normal attack does not affect the normal attack damage after opening the skill.

Mika comps kuki shinobu nahida build

Kuki Shinobu Build
  • Mastery attributes are used to increase Hyperbloom reaction damage, and life attributes increase skill healing.
  • The artifacts set can be prioritized with “Flower of Paradise Lost” 4 pieces to increase Super Display damage.
Nahida Build
  • Priority consideration is whether mastery is 900-1000.
  • When matching Dendro element output characters or Dendro element reaction teams, it is recommended to choose the Deepwood Memories 4-piece set first.
  • When there are no shield/healing characters in the team, you can consider trying Prototype Amber.

The matching of other normal attack output characters

Mika is one of the few characters in the current version that can increase attack speed through skills. You can use this mechanism to match many normal attack characters such as Kamisato Ayato, Yoimiya, Eula, Razor, Wanderer, and Physical Damage Flow Kaeya. However, for Mika, these matches are more about expanding gameplay rather than bringing an absolute large increase to the team.
