Welcome! This Guide will cover every aspect of Arataki Itto build in Genshin Impact. Talent, Weapons, Artifacts, Constellations, Team Comps, etc.

Arataki Itto Overview – Genshin Impact Guide

Arataki Itto is a Geo damage dealer whose output is based on using elemental bursts and heavy attacks in a cycle. His normal attacks and elemental skill can accumulate “Superlative Superstrength” for himself, and he can use this effect to perform consecutive special heavy attacks with the “Arataki Kesagiri slashes” slashing effect.

Talent Analysis Arataki Itto – Genshin Impact Guide

Talent Priority – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

Normal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill

It is recommended to upgrade all three of Arataki Itto’s skills, with priority on normal attacks and elemental burst, followed by upgrading the elemental skill (basic leveling level: 8/8/8).

Normal Attack

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto Normal Attack

  1. The fourth hit of the normal attack has a large pre-attack animation. Before unleashing the ultimate attack, it is recommended to use the second and fourth hits to stack the “Superlative Superstrength” effect, with each hit adding 1 layer to the enemy.
  2. The layers of “Superlative Superstrength” will be displayed on the demon face on Arataki Itto’s back, corresponding to his eyes, forehead, eyebrows, and face.
  3. Using an elemental skill or sprinting will not reset Arataki Itto’s normal attack combo within a short period of time.
  4. When Arataki Itto has the “Superlative Superstrength” effect, holding down the normal attack button will unleash a special heavy attack called “Arataki Kesagiri slashes,” which does not consume stamina and has a small AOE damage effect.
  5. While performing the special heavy attack, you can adjust the attack direction by controlling the directional keys.

【Recommended Output Rotation】 0 and 1 Constellation(Z represents the Charged attack)

0 Constellation(without stacking in advance): QE, AAA, Z (consume all stacks), AAA, Z (consume all stacks), AE, Z

0 Constellation(with stacking in advance) and 1 Constellation: QE, Z (consume all stacks), AAAA, Z (consume all stacks), AZ, EZ

[Note] It is not recommended to use the normal attack’s fourth hit with a long pre-attack animation. Instead, try to consume all the stacks of the “Superlative Superstrength” effect. After two full sets of special heavy attacks, you can use the high damage ratio finishing heavy attacks “AZ” or “EZ” based on the enemy’s remaining health.

Elemental Skill (E)

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto Elemental Skill

  1. Press the Elemental Skill button to release “Ushi” forward, and hold the button to adjust its release position.
  2. When the “Ushi” hits an enemy, it generates 3-4 Geo elemental particles.
  3. Hitting an enemy, being attacked by an enemy (once every 2 seconds), or leaving the field can all provide one stack of “Superlative Superstrength.”
  4. “Ushi” is considered a Geo elemental construct and can resonate with Zhongli’s Stone Stele, dealing extra damage.
  5. “Ushi” can be placed on pressure plates in the overworld.

Elemental Burst (Q)

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto Elemental Burst

  1. Attacks made after activating the Elemental Burst are still considered normal attacks, plunging attacks, and charged attacks, so effects that boost Elemental Burst damage, such as “Noblesse Oblige” and “Emblem of Severed Fate,” do not apply.
  2. Attacks made after activating the Elemental Burst cannot be overwritten by other elemental enchantments (such as Bennett’s 6 constellation, Chongyun’s Elemental Skill, or Candace’s Elemental Burst).
  3. The first and third hits of a normal attack made after activating the Elemental Burst can also generate stacks of “Superlative Superstrength,” meaning that up to four stacks can be generated during the duration of the Elemental Burst.
  4. The attack power of the Elemental Burst is based on Arataki Itto’s defense when the Elemental Burst is activated. This means that even if his defense increases during the duration of the Elemental Burst, the attack power will not increase any further (think of it as “locking” his defense but not other stats).
  5. This means that in order to maximize the effect of artifacts like “Husk of Opulent Dreams” or weapons like the “Whiteblind” you should generate stacks of “Superlative Superstrength” before activating the Elemental Burst.
  6. During the Elemental Burst, hitting an enemy with the Elemental Skill still generates Geo elemental particles.

【Additional Information 1】 Elemental Application of Arataki Itto

All of Arataki Itto’s elemental attacks apply a weak Geo elemental Application. During the Elemental Burst, normal attacks and special Charged attacks follow the rule of “generating an elemental Application every two hits against the same enemy within 2.5 seconds.”

Each use of the Elemental Skill applies a weak Geo elemental Application.

Passive Talent

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto Passive talent

Passive Talent 2 : The amplification effect of this talent applies to the base multiplier range, similar to the effects of the weapons “Redhorn Stonethresher” and “Cinnabar Spindle” and the artifact “Echoes of an Offering”.

【Supplementary Information 2】 Damage Calculation for Arataki Itto

[(ATK + Elemental Burst Conversion Percentage x Arataki Itto’s Defense) x Charged Attack Multiplier + 35% x Arataki Itto’s Defense] x Damage Bonus x Critical Damage Bonus x Enemy Defense Ratio x Enemy Resistance Ratio

Further explanation:

  • When Arataki Itto uses his Elemental Burst, the defense power converted according to a certain percentage is directly added to his current attack power and applied to the attack range (base attribute range).
  • Arataki Itto’s Passive Talent 2 is added to the result of “Attack x Skill Multiplier” and applies to the base multiplier range. In addition, the amplification effect in the passive of the weapon “Redhorn Stonethresher” for normal and charged attacks also belongs to the base multiplier range and is calculated in the same way as this talent.
  • Here, “Charged Attack Multiplier” mainly refers to the special charged attack “Arataki Kesagiri slashes”.

Weapons – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

Arataki Itto has a relatively low base attack power, and weapons that increase attack power do not benefit him much. He relies more on converting defense power into attack power after using his Elemental Burst to increase his attack power value. Among the many two-handed swords available, the priority should be given to the weapons “Redhorn Stonethresher”, “Serpent Spine”, and “Whiteblind”, and other weapons are not recommended to be considered as a priority.

Redhorn StonethresherSerpent SpineWhiteblind

Damage Comparison Chart

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto Weapons comparison

Weapon selection explanation

  • Since Arataki Itto’s defense stat is locked when using his Elemental Burst, additional defense power obtained afterwards will not be converted into attack power. This means that if you want to trigger the full effect of “Whiteblind’s” passive, you need to first stack attack layers and then use the Elemental Burst.
  • When using “Serpent Spine”, during a Spiral Abyss challenge, you can consider placing Arataki Itto in the first position and wait for the stack to reach maximum before starting the challenge. Then switch to other characters and keep the stack.

Artifact Introduction – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

The current artifact set recommended for use with Arataki Itto is the “Husk of Opulent Dreams” 4-piece set, which provides increased defense bonuses and increases Geo damage. In addition, the “Retracing Bolide” 4-piece set can also be considered, but it requires a stable shield to be present.

Recommended Artifact – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

Artifact selection and attribute explanation – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

  • For a 0 constellation Arataki Itto, it is recommended to have 130-150% energy recharge to optimize the ult rotation. For a two constellation Arataki Itto, around 120% energy recharge is recommended.
  • When using Gorou in combination with Arataki Itto, consider using an energy recharge hourglass or energy recharge weapon. For a zero constellation Arataki Itto, it is important to focus on the ultimate cycle in order to start the ultimate again quickly and avoid output delays.
  • The “Gladiator’s Finale” 4-piece set does not increase charged attack damage, which is the primary output source for Arataki Itto, so it is not recommended. The “Shimenawa’s Reminiscence” 4-piece set, which consumes energy to increase charged attack damage, is also not recommended.

Arataki Itto’s Constellation Effects Guide in Genshin Impact

Arataki Itto’s Constellation – Genshin Impact Guide

Genshin Impact Guide Arataki Itto constellation

Explanation of Constellation Effects – Genshin Impact Arataki Itto Guide

  • For a one constellation Arataki Itto, it is possible to activate the special charged attack directly after using the ultimate without stacking beforehand.
  • For a two constellation Arataki Itto, optimizing the rotation is important. Prioritize defense on the The Clock artifact. Reduce the amount of energy recharge on substats, but consider increasing it to 120% to increase the margin for error.
  • Constellations 3 and 5 only increase the skill level of elemental skills and elemental bursts, respectively.
  • Constellation 4 is similar to Raiden Shogun’s constellation 4 in that it increases the damage of team members.
  • Constellation 6 significantly increases Arataki Itto’s output capabilities and allows him to consistently use the special charged attack. This constellation requires less skill to use when the energy is full.

Overall, Arataki Itto’s constellations, with the exception of constellation 6, only slightly increase his damage output. They mainly optimize Arataki Itto’s skill mechanics and make the output smoother. Consider unlocking constellations 1, 2, and 6. For players who are still struggling, it is recommended to carefully consider before using Arataki Itto in a Geo team.

Arataki Itto’s Best Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

The most common team composition for Arataki Itto currently is to pair him with “Gorou” and a third Geo character to form a “Triple Geo+” lineup, with the last position being chosen based on Abyss requirements.

Triple Geo Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Arataki Itto + Gorou + Geo character + Other

Currently, the third Geo character choice for Arataki Itto’s Triple Geo team is often between Albedo and Zhongli. If you have a highly leveled Ningguang, she can also be considered.

Gorou Build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide Gorou Build

The defense value provided by Gorou is only related to the level of his elemental skill and does not require stacking defense through artifacts.

The preferred weapon for Gorou is the Favonius Warbow, which, when paired with a CRIT Crown artifact, can produce additional elemental particles consistently.

【Note】After Gorou uses his elemental skill or burst to provide defense buff, if you switch to Arataki Itto using a shortcut key and immediately use his burst, Gorou’s defense buff will not be converted to Arataki Itto’s burst damage increase. It is recommended to pause for a moment after switching to Arataki Itto and increase his defense first before using his burst.

▶ Geo character choices

Ⅰ. Albedo Build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide Albedo Build

Albedo’s elemental skill has a snapshot mechanism, which can further increase Albedo’s damage output when paired with Gorou. Albedo’s ability to generate energy particles also relieves some pressure from Arataki Itto’s energy cycle, allowing the fourth character to be a healer or shielder.

Ⅱ. Zhongli build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide zhongli build

Zhongli currently has the most comfortable shield and is also the only character who can lower Geo resistance. Gorou’s buff not only increases Arataki Itto’s damage but also increases the burst damage of Zhongli’s elemental burst. When choosing Zhongli, the fourth character can be an amplifier or sub-DPS.

Ⅲ. Ningguang build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide Ningguang Build

When paired with “Arataki Itto + Gorou”, Ningguang mainly provides burst damage as a quick swap option during Arataki Itto’s burst downtime. A 6 constellation Gorou can further increase Ningguang’s damage output, but it requires a high level of proficiency. (DPS oriented)

Additionally, if the fourth character chooses another sub-DPS role, Ningguang can use the “Prototype Amber + Exile 4-piece set” combination to supplement energy and heal herself with her burst, which has a 40 energy cost and 12 seconds cooldown. (Utility oriented)

▶Fourth Character Choice

Dori: Dori’s ultimate skill not only restores her own health but also restores energy to other characters on the field, optimizing Arataki Itto’s ultimate skill rotation.

Bennett: Bennett’s attacks and Arataki Itto’s high defense have a dilution effect, but Bennett’s direct attack amplification still provides stable damage increase to Arataki Itto. Moreover, his ultimate skill now restores health during the duration, which improves the team’s fault tolerance.

Yelan: Arataki Itto’s main output is heavy strikes, which cannot trigger Yelan’s synergy attacks continuously. However, he can still benefit from the damage increase effect during Yelan’s ultimate skill duration, and thus, receive a continuous damage bonus.

Traveler (Electro): After using ultimate skill, normal and heavy attacks by other characters on the field will trigger Traveler ‘s synergy attack to restore Arataki Itto’s energy (Traveler must switch to Arataki Itto after using her E to obtain the Abundance Amulets).

◆More choices: Arataki Itto Triple Geo Team’s fourth character choice is flexible. Other options include Rosaria with Favonius Lance, who can produce crystalline shields while supplementing damage; Raiden Shogun, who has a skill to disengage from the battlefield while supplementing damage; or other characters who provide healing or shielding, such as Kuki Shinobu or Diona.

Relevant Character Guide

Bennett Build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide bennett build

Prioritize weapons with high base attack and energy recharge.

For support in a monochrome team, choose the Noblesse Oblige artifact set, and for a reaction-based team, choose the Instructor artifact set.

For high-end weapon configurations, you can choose a setup that focuses on stack the stats of Energy Recharge/Pyro DMG/CRIT.

Dori Build

Genshin Impact Team Comps Guide Dori Build

  • When choosing the Favonius Greatsword, it is important to stack critical rate.
  • Increasing the energy recharge can improve the energy recovery of her passive talent.

Four Geo Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Kuwahara Itto + Gorou + Zhongli + Albedo

When there is no need to break shields, the Four-Geo Team will make full use of Gorou’s amplification effect. When the team produces direct Geo element output, it can also create resonance damage with Kuwahara Itto, Albedo, and Zhongli’s Geo element constructs, and the overall team output is considerable.

Recommended Output Rotation

Zhongli’s long E, Gorou’s QE, Albedo’s EQ, Zhongli’s Q, Kuwahara Itto’s Q followed by output.

[Note] If using Zhongli as sub DPS, he can follow up with Q to output, but if using him as main shield, you may choose not to use his burst.

【Team Comps Summary】

Overall, Kuwahara Itto is currently more recommended for the “Three Geo+” template. Gorou is reserved as a Geo element character, and the Three-Geo lineup can make full use of Gorou’s requirement for the number of Geo element characters in his skills. The fourth character can be left for the corresponding shield-breaking position, energy recharge position, healing position, or shielding position to improve the overall versatility of the lineup.

That’s all for this Arataki Itto character guide. See you next time!
