Faruzan Best Build Guide Genshin Impact

Welcome! This Guide will cover every aspect of Faruzan build in Genshin Impact. Talent, Weapons, Artifacts, Constellations, Team Comps, etc.

Faruzan Overview – Genshin Impact Guide

Faruzan is a support character that enhances the Anemo elemental damage of the team through various skill mechanics. Her skills, talents, and constellation provide various amplifications, such as increased damage, base multiplier, resistance, and critical damage, which can significantly improve the Anemo elemental characters’ output.

Talent Analysis Faruzan – Genshin Impact Guide

Talent Priority – Genshin Impact Faruzan Guide

Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack

Faruzan’s main mechanic is her Burst. The level of her Burst not only relates to the damage output of her skills but also affects the Anemo damage bonus provided by her Burst. As Faruzan leans towards a support role, upgrading her Burst level should be prioritized, followed by upgrading her Skill and Normal Attack levels based on whether you want to increase Faruzan’s damage output.

Normal Attack

Genshin Impact Guide Faruzan Normal Attack

Her Normal Attack/Charged Attack is similar to most bow-type characters. Its main function is to create a Pressurized Collapse of effect when the Charged Attack is triggered after using her Elemental Skill.

Elemental Skill (E)

Genshin Impact Guide Faruzan Elemental Skill

  1. Her Skill does not generate Elemental Particles on hit, but the subsequent Pressurized Collapse reaction will generate 2 Anemo Elemental Particles when it hits enemies. Its cooldown time is 5.5 seconds. This means that to generate particles, you need to use her Skill first and then hit enemies with Charged Attack or hit enemies near the generated Pressurized Collapse.
  2. At 6 constellation levels, Faruzan can leave the field after using her Burst without using her Skill and Charged Attack.
  3. When Faruzan leaves the field, returns to the foreground the effect of “Manifest Gale” within the duration, and the current stack of the effect will be retained.
  4. At 1 constellation level, she can have up to 2 stacks of “Manifest Gale,” and repeatedly using her Skill will refresh the effect to 2 stacks.

Elemental Burst (Q)

Genshin Impact Guide Faruzan Elemental burst

  1. After using her Burst, a triangle vertex will appear in front of Faruzan, and she will pass through the next vertex every 2 seconds.
  2. The range of the damage caused by the Whirlwind Pulse Burst at the vertex is significant. Characters within this range do not need to chase the polyhedron deliberately, as they can easily gain the effects of the Burst by staying near the triangle. This skill only causes damage when first cast, and the following Whirlwind Pulse Bursts will not cause damage.

Passive Talent

Genshin Impact Guide Faruzan passive talent

Passive Talent 1: Shortens the charge time for fully charged shots and also applies the effect of “Perfidious Wind’s Bale” from the Elemental Burst to reduce the Anemo resistance of enemies.

Passive Talent 2: Triggers an amplification effect at most once every 0.8 seconds, which belongs to the base multiplier range. It should be noted that this amplification effect is calculated based on the base attack of Faruzan(weapon base attack + character base attack).

Weapons – Genshin Impact Faruzan Guide

Elegy for the EndSacrificial BowFavonius WarbowFading Twilight

  1. For Faruzan without unlock 6 constellation, in order to produce Anemo particles by hitting enemies with “Pressurized Collapse” after charging shots, and due to spending more time in the background after using the Elemental Burst, it is necessary to stack more energy recharge to ensure the Elemental Burst’s rotation. When 6 constellation unlocked, because “Pressurized Collapse” produced by the Elemental Burst can also generate particles when hitting enemies, the energy recharge requirement can be reduced to choose a weapon that enhances Faruzan’s damage output.
  2. For Faruzan with less than 6 constellations, the requirement for energy recharge is relatively high (240%+), so it is recommended to use the Favonius Warbow (need to stack crit rate substats), Fading Twilight, Elegy for the End, or Sacrificial Bow.
  3. When unlocking the 6 constellation, the energy recharge can be appropriately reduced (around 210%) to increase Faruzan’s own damage (the background damage is mainly from “Pressurized Collapse”, which belongs to the Elemental Skill damage).
  4. Because the cooldown time for Faruzan’s burst particles is 5.5 seconds, the “Pressurized Collapse” produced by the second charged shot within 5.5 seconds after the first Elemental Skill is triggered cannot generate particles. When there are no other energy recharge weapons available, consider using the Sacrificial Bow.

【Question】 Faruzan’s Passive Talent 2 is linked to the base attack, so is it better to choose a weapon with a high base attack?

【Answer】 Not entirely. After unlocking the 6 constellation, you can consider choosing a weapon with a high base attack to increase the value of Passive Talent 2, such as Elegy for the End, Skyward Harp, Alley Hunter, or Mouun’s Moon. However, for Faruzan with less than 6 constellations, there are fewer opportunities to produce particles, so it is necessary to prioritize ensuring Elemental Burst rotation. (Simply put, 6 constellations can compensate for damage, while below 6 constellations, stacking energy recharge is more important.)

Artifact selection and attribute explanation – Genshin Impact Faruzan Guide

  1. For characters with less than 6 constellations, it is recommended to have an Elemental Recharge of at least 240%. After unlocking the 6th constellation, the recharge can be lowered to around 210% to increase the damage of Faruzan’s skill.
  2. The damage of Faruzan’s elemental burst comes from the casting of the ultimate and only occurs once. If the recharge is high, it is recommended to use the Emblem of Severed Fate 4-piece set to increase the burst damage.
  3. At 6 constellations, Faruzan’s damage mainly comes from “Pressurized Collapse” which is an elemental skill damage. It is possible to choose to increase the damage with the “Viridescent Venerer” or “Desert Pavilion Chronicle” 2-piece set, or to consider using the “Tenacity of the Millelith” 4-piece set to increase team damage.
  4. Faruzan’s 2nd Passive talent only increases with their base attack and does not require stacking attack through artifacts.

Faruzan’s Constellation Effects Guide in Genshin Impact

Faruzan’s Constellation – Genshin Impact Guide

Genshin Impact Guide Faruzan constellation

Explanation of Constellation Effects – Genshin Impact Faruzan Guide

  1. At 1 constellation, Faruzan can trigger “Pressurized Collapse” twice the most, but due to the cooldown of produce a elemental orbs is 5.5 seconds, consecutive shots will not produce consecutive orbs. At 4 constellations, Faruzan can fire two arrows in a row with extra energy recharge.
  2. At 2 constellations, the duration of the elemental burst is extended and the multi-faced vortex moves an extra circle (6 seconds/circle).
  3. At 3 and 5 constellations, elemental skill and burst damage are respectively increased. Increasing the level of the elemental burst will also increase the amount of Anemo damage bonus provided.
  4. At 4 constellations, the energy recharge cycle is optimized, and each hit of “Pressurized Collapse” can restore energy based on the number of enemies hit.
  5. At 6 constellations, characters under the effect of Faruzan’s burst gain increased Anemo damage bonus, which further increases Anemo damage characters’ damage. Anemo attacks can also periodically create Pressurized Collapse, which, when combined with the optimized burst cycle at 4 constellations, can greatly relieve Faruzan’s energy pressure.

Overall, before reaching 6 constellations, Faruzan relies heavily on energy recharge. After unlocking the 6th constellation, Faruzan’s energy pressure can be greatly relieved, and their damage output can be increased. The 2nd, 4th, and 5th constellations can be seen as a preparation for Faruzan’s full potential. Before reaching 6 constellations, the recommended method for damage output is “E → charged arrow,” while after unlocking the 6th constellation, Faruzan can simply use their burst to restore energy. Therefore, it is recommended to have higher constellations for Faruzan.

Faruzan’s Best Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Double Anemo Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Wanderer + Faruzan + Xiangling + Layla (Position 4)

The main strategy for the wanderer’s Double Anemo team is to pair with Faruzan.

Faruzan can provide three types of buffs through her skills: increased base Anemo multiplier, Anemo damage bonus, and decreased enemy Anemo elemental resistance. At her sixth constellation, she can increase the critical damage of Anemo elemental attacks, further increasing the wanderer’s Anemo elemental damage.

In addition to these two Anemo elemental characters, the other two characters are more focused on whether they can serve as elemental applications to complement the wanderer’s Passive talent 1 and increase the wanderer’s output.

After Yelan uses her elemental burst, she can increase the damage dealt by the characters on the field, and her ultimate also deals considerable damage. Layla’s shield also improves the team’s survival. The wanderer, in combination with Yelan and Layla, can trigger the Hydro and Cryo buffs of the Passive talent 1 (increase max stamina by 20 points and add 20% critical rate), further improving the wanderer’s output.

Recommended Output Rotation

Faruzan E → Charged Attack → Q(at the sixth constellation, she can directly use Q skill without Charged Attack), Yelan E , followed by Q. Layla Q E followed by A. Finally, the wanderer E, followed by a Charged attack to deal damage. (with 4-piece Desert Pavilion Chronicle set)

[Note] If using Xingqiu, needs to use E Q E (Sacrificial Sword sword) before Faruzan uses her skill.

【Teammate Replacement】

In a Traveler double Anemo team, besides having Faruzan fixed in the team, other positions can be replaced with other shield support or damage-boosting characters:

I. Shield Support Replacement

Zhongli: Currently the highest shield-absorbing character, plus his shield provides a 20% decrease in elemental/physical damage, making him an optimal choice.

Thoma: The Traveler’s primary attack is a normal attack, which can be used to refresh Thoma’s shield. However, Energy Recharge should be noticed, 4 constellation can optimize her ultimate skill’s cycle.

【Note】Diona is not a priority choice for a shield-support character. Layla, Zhongli, and Thoma should be considered first. If none of these three are available, Diona can be considerable.

Ⅱ. Amplifying Roles Replacement

Yun Jin: As a primary output character of the wanderer relying on normal attacks, Yunjin can be paired with the wanderer as a basic attack multiplier supp. The amplification effect comes from her ultimate, so it is important to stack defense and energy recharge efficiency. When using Yun Jin, it is also recommended to choose a healing or shielding character to improve the team’s survivability.

Bennett: His ultimate still provides a strong attack power amplification effect, but it is important to pay attention to the situation where his ultimate, “Fantastic Voyage,” locks players in a certain area. Players need to use movement and dashes to adjust their position when using Bennett’s output.
