Talent Priority – Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato Guide

Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack

Kamisato Ayato’s main source of damage comes from his normal attack after using his Elemental Skill. The damage of his normal attack is not affected by its level, so you can choose not to level it up and instead focus on leveling up his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.

Normal Attack

Genshin Impact Guide Kamisato Ayato Normal Attack

The level of his normal attack skill does not affect the damage of “Shunsuiken” after using his Elemental Skill, so you can choose not to level it up.

Elemental Skill (E)

Genshin Impact Guide Kamisato Ayato Elemental Skill

  1. After using his Elemental Skill, Kamisato Ayato’s normal attacks generate 1-2 Hydro-element particles upon hitting an enemy, with a cooldown of 1.9 seconds.
  2. All attacks during his Elemental Skill apply an weak Hydro-elemental aura (1 gauge unit, lasts 9.5 seconds), and “Shunsuiken” (normal attack) follows the rule of “generating an aura effect every 2 attacks on the same enemy within 2.5 seconds.”
  3. During his Elemental Skill, holding down the normal attack button will unleash continuous slahes, without the need to repeatedly click the attack button or mouse (to extend the life of your mouse :D).
  4. “Shunsuiken” during his Elemental Skill has a chasing effect, gradually moving towards enemies if they are far away, and has air target capabilities, making it excellent for airborne targets.
  5. While using his Elemental Skill, heavy attacks and plunging attacks cannot be used, but you can adjust his position by holding down the movement keys while using his skill.
  6. The damage calculation for “Namisen ” applies to the basic multiplier range and is added to Kamisato Ayato’s normal attack damage calculation (“attack x normal attack multiplier”).
  7. His Elemental Skill does not have a lock panel (snapshot) mechanism and is calculated based on Kamisato Ayato’s real-time panel calculation.
  8. The damage of the slahes during his Elemental Skill still belongs to the normal attack category, so it can benefit from the damage bonus of artifacts such as “Echoes of an Offering” “Heart of Depth” (Hydro Set), “Gladiator’s Finale,” and weapons such as “The Black Sword.”

Elemental Burst (Q)

Genshin Impact Guide Kamisato Ayato Elemental Burst

  1. The Elemental Burst has a similar hit mechanism as Ganyu’s Elemental Burst, which is a pseudo-random mechanism that locks onto a single target every 4 rounds and deals area of effect Hydro damage.
  2. The damage of the Hydro Bloomwater Blades within the field is apply an weak Hydro element (1 elemental gauge unit, 9.5 seconds), following the rule of “applying every 2 attacks within 2.5 seconds to the same enemy”.
  3. The Elemental Burst has a lock panel (snapshot) mechanism.

Passive Talent

Genshin Impact Guide Kamisato Ayato passive talent

Passive Talent 1: After using elemental skill, the user gains 2 stacks of Namisen, which can be fully stacked on the second hit.

Passive Talent 2: Ayato regenerates elemental energy when he off the field, making the ultimate skill more of an opening move due to its long cooldown and duration, which allows for additional energy recovery.

Passive Talent 3: Same as Hu Tao’s talent.

Kamisato Ayato’s Best Weapon Choice – Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato Guide

Shinryu Aten is a traditional ATK Hydro CRIT character, and in terms of equipment selection, weapons with double critical and attack power attributes are given priority.

Although the effect of Namisen is related to the character’s HP, it still cannot achieve a high-weight effect, so equipment with HP attributes is not prioritized (although it can be used, it is not necessary to stack it).

The difference between the weapons of Haran Geppaku Futsu, Mistsplitter Reforged and the Primordial Jade Cutter is small. The Black Sword, Blackcliff Longsword and Harbinger of Dawn can also be considered. In addition, weapons with attack power attributes such as Summit Shaper, Kagotsurube Isshin, The Flute, and Amenoma Kageuchi can also be considered.

The overall difference between different weapons with different artifact sets is also small.

Mid-term transition: Hydro 2-piece set + Attack 2-piece set (Vermillion Hereafter/Echoes of an Offering/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence/Gladiator)

Early transition: Warrior 4-piece set, Berserker 2-piece set + Warrior 2-piece set

[Note] If you choose the Shimenawa’s Reminiscence 4-piece set, it means that you cannot immediately use Elemental Burst to apply Hydro aura during output, which will reduce the amount of Dendro Core you can obtain in the Bloom Team.

Kamisato Ayato’s Constellation – Genshin Impact Guide

Damage Expectation Percentage Comparison

Genshin Impact Guide Kamisato Ayato Constellation Comparison

Explanation of Constellation Effects – Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato Guide

  1. The 1st Constellation improves Ayato’s ability to perform a half-health kill, the 2nd Constellation further enhances Ayato’s normal attack bonus brought by his elemental skills, allowing the Namisen effect to stack up to 5 layers; The 3rd Constellation is a relatively high improvement Constellation for elemental skills caused by a quantitative change, the 4th Constellation increases attack speed and allows Ayato to perform about 2 additional normal attacks, the 5th Constellation has a relatively small improvement in magnitude.
  2. The additional instant Shunsuiken damage from the 6th Constellation can obtain the bonus from the Echoes of an Offering 4-piece set, but cannot obtain the Namisen effect of the elemental skill.

Overall, Ayato’s Constellations are all damage-enhancing Constellations, and thise are no seats that bring a qualitative change to his own skill mechanism. The 0th Constellation has a relatively complete mechanism. If players want to further increase Ayato’s damage, they can choose to pill the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th seats.

Kamisato Ayato’s Best Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

When considering team compositions for Ayato, he still mainly relies on his own Hydro elemental damage. Typically, the chosen team compositions are double Hydro teams or pure Hydro teams that directly enhance his own Hydro elemental damage.

The Hyperbloom gameplay that arises from the introduction of Dendro element and related reactions can also be considered.

These two types of gameplay are the main considerations for Ayato’s team composition. In addition, because he is a Hydro elemental output, he can also consider expanding his gameplay with sets such as Forced Army, Hydro and Freeze, and Double Pyro Vaporize.

Hyperbloom Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Kamisato Ayato + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu + Fischl

Kamisato Ayato deals Hydro damage to enemies with his main DPS role, while triggering the Swirl reaction with Nahida to generate a Dendro core. The team’s damage output is further increased when a Electro element character (especially Kuki Shinobu) triggers the Hyperbloom reaction.

For the fourth slot, a support character that enhances Kamisato Ayato’s damage output can be considered, or a off-hand character that increases the team’s overall output capability.

▶Replace with “Fischl”

Yelan: After using her Elemental Burst, Yelan can increase the damage dealt by all characters on the field, further enhancing Kamisato Ayato’s damage output.

Xingqiu: Kamisato Ayato can trigger Xingqiu’s co-op attack, increasing the team’s output.

Zhongli: Since Kuki Shinobu has healing abilities, Zhongli is not a priority for the fourth slot. However, his Geo abilities can be used to deal with certain special environments, such as the Golden Wolflord in Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss in version 3.3.

Kaedehara Kazuha: Used to gather and increase Kamisato Ayato’s Hydro damage against groups of enemies.

In addition, if Nahida is not available or is used in another team, characters with the off-hand ability to apply the dendro aura, such as Collei and Traveler(dendro), can be used instead. In this case, the fourth slot can be filled with a character that directly increases Kamisato Ayato’s Hydro damage output, such as Kaedehara Kazuha, Yelan, Yun Jin, or Candace.

Burgeon Play Team Comps – Genshin Impact Guide

Kamisato Ayato + Nahida + Thoma + Bennett

Similar to the Hyperbloom play, Kamisato Ayato and Nahida trigger the Bloom reaction to generate a Dendro core, which is then triggered by a Pyro element character to create a Burgeon reaction. Mastery Thoma, is currently the preferred choice for triggering Burgeon reaction. Additionally, the combination of Bennett and Kaedehara Kazuha can be considered to use Kaedehara Kazuha’s Elemental Absorption – Swirl mechanism to trigger Burgeon reaction. Compared to Hyperbloom, it is important to focus on Thoma’s ultimate rotation to trigger Burgeon reaction in the Burgeon reaction play.

Forced Army Gameplay Team Comps

Kamisato Ayato, Xingqiu, Beidou, and Fischl

Kamisato Ayato is a Hydro character who primarily uses his normal attack for damage output, which can trigger the synergistic attacks of Xingqiu and Beidou. he can also act as the driver for the team.
